Endurance Challenge Half Marathon

If you want to run for The North Face Endurance Challenge, you might as well  be coached by an Endurance Challenge Champion and train on the actual course.

Our 10 week Half Marathon Program is designed to build the proper conditioning  with the best resources available in the bay area.  We also  practice on the course so you’ll have it completely dialed by race day.  The midweek workouts are San Francisco based and consist of running drills mixed with core exercise designed and coached by Endurance Challenge 50 Mile Champion, Pilates and Yoga Instructor, and Doula  Caitlin Smith.  Sunday runs will take place on trails throughout Marin and will be lead by  experienced trail and ultra runner  Larissa Polischuk, who has notched the Pike’s Peak ascent (Half Marathon) under her belt and and is this year’s Angel Island 50K Champion. They are both super positive and you’ll have a good time while getting in the best shape of your life.

Training Components

  • Sundays @ 8:30am – Trail Running long runs; wilderness based with Larissa Polischuk
  • Tuesdays @ 6:30pm  – Midweek drills with Caitlin Smith
  • Access to member website with maps, directions, carpooling, calendar, and other resources
  • 50% Discount on Hydrapak Products
  • 10% Discount from Sports Basement

Prerequisites: Ability to run 4 miles comfortably for the first weekend run.

Endurance Challenge Ultra – Full Program

This 16 week program is designed to build the proper conditioning to complete The North Face Endurance Challenge 50K or 50 Mile on December 5th, 2010. It combines Saturday Trail runs on courses throughout Marin that showcase the best of what the area has to offer.
